Daniel Adams, P.E. is the founder and principal engineer of Energy Forensics. He is a licensed Professional Engineer with extensive experience in the design, operation, and forensic investigation of oil and gas production facilities. His career spans engineering consulting, facility design, incident investigation, and expert witness services involving upstream oil and gas operations.
Mr. Adams specializes in the forensic analysis of engineering failures, industrial accidents, equipment malfunctions, and operational incidents. He has been retained by attorneys, insurance carriers, and industrial clients to investigate complex engineering matters, determine root cause, evaluate compliance with applicable industry standards, and provide clear, technically sound opinions supported by engineering principles. In addition to forensic engineering, Mr. Adams has designed and managed a wide range of oil and gas production facilities, including well sites, gathering systems, separation facilities, gas processing equipment, produced water system, and associated piping and mechanical systems. This hands-on design experience provides practical insight into how facilities are intended to operate and why failures occur.
